Since 2010, MBG has established itself as a leader in commercial construction management. With a foundation in one of the nation’s top hospitality companies, we bring a developer perspective to every build. Our experience includes working with renowned brands like Marriott, Hilton, and IHG. As our company has grown, so has our portfolio, making us a trusted builder for hospitality, multifamily, senior living, and commercial construction. The MBG family of companies includes American Cabinet Factory and Collaborative Carpentry. We are headquartered in St. Louis, MO with a regional office in Indianapolis, IN.

American Cabinet Factory is a production cabinet and custom millwork shop serving the Midwest. With over 25 years of experience and a legacy of personalized service, we take pride in delivering exceptional craftsmanship. Whether custom millwork for a hotel lobby, or cabinetry for your multifamily build, our team of professionals is ready to bring your vision to life.
Collaborative Carpentry is a St. Louis-based union carpentry team specializing in trim, install, metal framing, and drywall. We’re problem solvers, builders, and collaborators. From trim carpentry to commercial build-out, our highly skilled carpenters, painters, and tapers are ready to bring your vision to life.

CHRIS SHINKLE
Principal
With over 15 Years of prior experience in Hospitality and Development, Chris leads the company in Operations Support, Accounting, Risk Management, Procurement and Human Resources since 2018. Chris has held various leadership roles in Development, Operations and Information Technology and prior to joining MBG held positions with Penn National Gaming, Davidson Hotels and Sage Hospitality. His experience throughout every facet of the Hospitality industry brings a unique level of expertise to the construction industry.

Chad is responsible for leading teams in the execution of regional hospitality, multi-family and commercial construction projects while delivering an exceptional experience to clients, business partners and team members. He is an expert in all aspects of pre-bid design support, estimating, value engineering, hard bid, and negotiated contracts.With a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Murray State University and an extensive background of hospitality project management, Chad maintains a strong foundation in construction excellence.

Chuck Seale brings more than two decades of hands-on experience in development and construction to his role as Division Leader of MBG’s Indianapolis office. Over the course of his career, he has overseen more than $1 billion in projects, navigating the full spectrum of development and construction challenges with a steady focus on quality, efficiency, and results. Chuck is recognized for his ability to lead cross-functional teams while maintaining clear, effective communication with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders alike.
His deep industry knowledge spans the technical, financial, and operational dimensions of construction management, giving him the perspective to anticipate challenges and drive projects forward with confidence. Chuck earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Indiana State University. At MBG, he is committed to building a high-performing Indianapolis team grounded in the same values of excellence and accountability that define the company’s broader mission.

Paul found his passion and gifts in construction at Purdue University. He brings more than 10 years of project management experience ranging from light industrial and logistics to senior living and luxury apartments. His growth and leadership have yielded great success in managing project buyout, subcontracting, maintaining budgets and schedules, managing subcontractors, and conducting meetings. Paul’s focus on client satisfaction results in repeat business and trusted partnerships.Paul earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering from Purdue University.

Committed to the philosophy that great teams build great projects, Phil fosters collaboration and empowers his peers, ensuring both team success and superior project execution.

JEFF TUBB
Director of Field Operations
Jeff brings a proven track record of leadership and hands-on expertise with more than 30 years of extensive construction experience. Jeff’s career began as a ‘tools-on’ carpenter, where he spent 15 years honing his craft and developing a deep understanding of the complexities of ground-up building. His technical expertise and attention to detail have remained a hallmark of his approach, even as his career transitioned into senior leadership roles. Jeff’s leadership style is rooted in a commitment to customer satisfaction, efficient project delivery, and maintaining a high standard of quality throughout every stage of construction. As Director of Field Operations, Jeff’s primary focus is on ensuring that every project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest possible standard. He is known for his hands-on approach, effective problem-solving skills, and ability to motivate teams to stay on track and exceed expectations.

RYAN MCCARTHY
Director of Preconstruction
With nearly 25 years of experience, Ryan brings extensive expertise to MBG’s preconstruction efforts. Successfully leading a wide variety of projects, specifically with multi-family developments and specialized senior living communities, Ryan’s hands-on background in construction and estimating, combined with his leadership, ensures projects optimized for cost, quality, and functionality. A Southeast Missouri State University graduate with a degree in industrial engineering, his collaborative approach and focus on excellence make him a vital part of MBG’s mission to deliver exceptional spaces for diverse communities.

JEFF SCHMITT
General Counsel
Jeff brings more than 20 years of private practice experience, specializing in real estate, banking, finance, and litigation. As MBG’s chief legal officer, Jeff provides strategic guidance to the executive team on a wide range of legal matters, with a strong emphasis on construction law and risk management. He oversees contract negotiations, ensures compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and managing disputes. Jeff plays a key role in shaping internal policies, advising on employment matters, and supporting business operations such as real estate, insurance, and investment activities. Jeff earned his undergraduate degree in Psychology from Saint Louis University and his law degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia. He serves as Adjunct Professor at Maryville University where he teaches Business Law and Business Ethics.

Dan brings more than 20 years of accounting experience in the construction industry. His management experience spans union general and subcontractors.
